I wanted to capture the serene and meditative connection I feel with the ocean or in nature, the interplay of light and colour and the rythmic nature of water. In my recent work I explore the relationship between light, water and solitude, using vibrant colours to evoke the meditative state one experiences from being by water.
When I am by the water my brain shuts down, I feel connected and I can get into this sort of meditative state where I am able to forget the world and everything that’s going on and focus on what’s in front of me.
